Be heard. Go deep. Build a life you love.
Helping girls and women find their voices, confidently take up space, and begin to thrive.
You’ve worked really hard for the life you wanted… but this doesn’t feel like ‘it’.
The pressure you put on yourself is starting to feel suffocating. Whether it’s at work or school, with friends, or at home with your family, there’s this sense that you have to do it all—and do it flawlessly. You hold yourself to impossibly high standards, and even when you do something well, it’s hard to take any pride in it because your mind immediately jumps to what could have been better. You give so much of yourself, but somehow always fall short in your own eyes.
Maybe you’re starting to feel like this (and everything else you’ve been dealing with) is more deeply rooted than you originally thought. You know there has to be more to life than scrambling to keep up and feeling unfulfilled in your closest friendships and relationships.
Take a breath. You’re not alone in this anymore.

Being a teen girl comes with a lot of pressure from all sides—friends, school, the looming future—and it can feel like no one really understands what she’s going through. If you’ve noticed your teen pulling away, feeling overwhelmed, or getting frustrated easily, she may just need some outside professional support to navigate these challenges. Therapy allows her a neutral space to voice things that may be uncomfortable to share with you, and can help her feel more confident, improve communication, and learn how to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Hi, I’m Dr. Susan Allender.
I want to help you quiet your mind & recognize your worth.
In sessions with me, the most important person in the room (or on the screen) is you. Our work together will be about your story, your experiences, and what you need. I’m genuinely interested in understanding who you are and what’s brought you to this point, which is why I take the time to really get to know you.
My approach blends deep, insightful work with practical tools that can help address immediate concerns, making sure you don’t get overwhelmed and keeping you moving forward toward your goals. I’m tuned in to the details and have ample experience working closely with other providers—like physicians or psychiatrists—to offer you the comprehensive care you deserve.
I’ll ask questions that will help us explore your past and relationships, and over time we’ll uncover the patterns and challenges that may be holding you back.
I’m not just here to listen, though—I’m here to be honest and real, and hold you accountable in a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental way. We’ll work together at your pace, and check in regularly on how you feel the work is going. When things get too heavy, I’ll be here to lighten the load with a bit of humor or a gentle change in direction.
Getting started is simple.

Dive Deep
In the beginning of our work, we’ll spend our time getting to know each other better and building a strong foundation of trust between us. As we continue, we’ll search deeper into your past, exploring relationship dynamics and patterns to gain more understanding of who you are, what you want, and what’s getting in your way.

You deserve the confidence, relationships, & life you want.
Let’s begin the journey toward it together.
