Together, we’ll help her worry less & feel more confident as she is.
Being a teenage girl is hard.
Reaching out for support shows you're committed to helping your teen thrive—and so am I.
It feels like just yesterday you were buckling them into a car seat, and now they’re rolling their eyes every time you speak. It’s hard to watch your teen distance herself as she tries to figure out who she is as an individual.
Maybe your teen has been…
-
It’s hard to see your teen struggling with the ups and downs of friendships, especially when she just wants to fit in and find her place. All that drama can chip away at her confidence, leaving her feeling lost or like something’s wrong with her.
-
It can feel like you’re tiptoeing around your teen, unsure when the next outburst might happen. She’s easily irritated these days, which can make every conversation feel like a challenge, and leave you wondering what happened to your little girl.
-
Seeing your teen break down because of the pressure she’s under is heart-wrenching. You feel powerless to help her deal with the overwhelm and self-doubt.
-
It often feels like there’s a wall between you and your teenager. She sometimes acts impulsively or says things that make it hard to recognize her. Deep down, you know she’s just struggling to express herself and feel heard.
-
The pressure of college and a career looming on the horizon while dealing with the dynamics of high school is overwhelming, to say the least. Plus, your teen has probably been told these should be the best years of her life, which has only made her more stressed, questioning what lies ahead if this is as good as it gets.
My Approach
A place for your teen to feel seen, heard, & understood.
When we begin, the first step will be sitting down with your teen—and with you, if they’d like—to really get to know her. We’ll explore her history, experiences, and what matters most to her, so I can fully understand what she’s been through and where she might be struggling. From there, we’ll work together to set meaningful goals and create a plan that feels right for your teen.
Confidentiality is essential for your teen to feel safe opening up to me,
And I want to make sure that everyone understands and feels comfortable with this from the start. What your teen shares in our sessions stays between the two of us, unless it’s something that could put her or someone else in danger. If there’s ever something I think you should be aware of, your teen and I will discuss it together to determine the best way to move forward.
Adolescence is often a challenging time, and despite what some might say, these years aren’t necessarily the best of her life. It’s a period filled with awkwardness and discomfort for most, and it’s likely the things your teen is going through are normal. Regardless of what’s going on, I’m confident there’s a path forward, and I’m here to walk alongside you and your child the whole way.
Specialized therapy for teens can help your child grow into the best version of themselves.

Parents play an important role in their teen's therapy. We’ll work together to support your child’s progress and growth. While the focus will be on your teen, and building trust with them is incredibly important, I’ll regularly check-in with you and always keep you in the loop if there’s anything you need to know.

If you notice your child struggling with their emotions, behavior, or relationships in a way that affects their daily life, it might be time to consider therapy. Having a psychologist for your child or teen is like having another adult to help you care for your child. Therapy allows them an outlet for anything they don’t feel comfortable sharing with other adults in their lives, and they can receive guidance from someone who is experienced and professional. Trust your instincts—if something feels off, talking to a professional can help. I’d be happy to discuss your concerns with you in an intake session, which you can schedule by clicking here.

No, I personally cannot prescribe medication. However, I have over a decade of experience in working alongside psychiatrists, recommending medication adjustments, and advocating for my clients’ access to the medication they need. I’d be happy to discuss options and refer you to a provider I trust if you think your teen might benefit from the support of medication.
