FAQs

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together. If you don’t see your question listed, contact me.

  • I am located at 27 Hospital Avenue in Danbury, CT. I am right across the street from Danbury Hospital. Parking is available next to and behind the building. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and I am in Suite 402.

  • Online therapy works very similarly to in person therapy, however instead of being in my office you could be at home relaxing with a cup of coffee, taking a break at work, taking some time on a family vacation to talk. You have a busy life and I am here to help, if it makes it easier for you to meet virtually then I am happy to do so.

After we have scheduled your first session and I have received all of your intake forms I will send you a link where you can go when it is time for your appointment. Please save this link because it will be the same link every time we meet. For online therapy, it is important that you have access to a computer/phone/tablet that has a working microphone and camera.

  • I offer both in person and virtual sessions.

  • Rates

    Intake: $250
    45 min session: $175
    60 min session: $200

I am an out of out-of-network provider. This means that you will pay the full fee at the time of your appointment.  I will provide you with a superbill, upon request, that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. The superbill will list your diagnoses and protected health information in order for you to get possible reimbursement. If you instead prefer to keep your diagnoses and PHI private from insurance you can opt to be a self-pay client.

To find out if you have Out of Network benefits call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your OON benefits. Good questions to ask include:

    1. Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy?

    2. Do I have to meet an Out-of-network deductible?

    3. What is that deductible?

    4. Once that deductible is met how much of the session fee will I be reimbursed for? Insurance will typically give you a percentage. Let’s say your session fee is $200 and insurance says they will reimburse you for 80% of the session fee, that means that they will reimburse you for  $160 of the session. After reimbursement, your out-of-pocket cost will have been $40.

    5. How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

    6. How long do I have to submit my superbill?

  • During your first appointment, we will review the business's policies, confidentiality, HIPPA, and I will begin to get a thorough understanding of your background, your struggles, and what makes you the person that you are. I will be asking a TON of questions, but no need to be nervous.

  • You can use the contact form on this website or text message my business cell phone at 203-628-2970.

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, you must give 24 hours notice or you will be charged the full session fee.
